Lenzerheide offers world-class skiing, with no less than 225 snow-sure pistes connected to Arosa. There are fantastic conditions for off-piste skiing for all levels – our ski instructors and mountain guides are ready to give you an unforgettable trip.

Both Arosa and Lenzerheide are located in such a way that it is not only a guarantee of good snow, but can also offer a record number of hours of sunshine. The town also has a nice après-ski, many gastronomic experiences and the opportunity for a lot of adventure experiences in addition to the off-piste.

Lenzerheide is a perfect destination for a whole week, but also for the slightly shorter trip, as it is close to Zurich Airport. We recommend that you go with our mountain guide to get the most out of the area.

Lenzerheide guarantees lots of snow and sunny days:

The two well-known holiday regions of Arosa and Lenzerheide have been connected since the opening of the Urdenbahn in January 2014. The result is a snow paradise with 225 snow-guarantee pistes, twice as many rustic mountain huts and a record number of sunny days!

At an altitude of almost 3000 meters, Parpaner Rothorn is the highest point of the ski area and from here you have a fantastic view of the valley and the huge ski area. The slopes are distributed on the mountainside below Rothorn and the most impressive thing is that the entire mountainside on the other side of the valley is also covered with inviting slopes, all of which are served by modern lifts.

While the skiing on the Rothorn side is a bit tougher with quite steep surroundings, the other side is instead more reliable, and the lower part is covered with nice larch forest, which gives us shelter and good visibility even if the weather is bad.

Lenzerheide is situated so that the worst winter storms don’t hit us, and that means more sunny days on the slopes!

Most of the Arosa Lenzerheide ski resort can be explored outside in the fresh air, as 80% of the slopes are accessible by chair lift.

From Zurich airport you can take the train directly to Chur (approx. 1 hour and 15 min.), and from there take bus 182 to Lenzerheide (approx. 40 min.).

Location and accommodation

It is only 1073 km from the border at Padborg to Lenzerheide and there is a motorway all the way to Chur, 20 km down the valley. In addition, you take the autobahn 7 all the way down to Memmingen, avoiding the heavy traffic you often encounter at Munich on the 9th or at Frankfurt and Basel on the 5th.

The mountain village of Lenzerheide is located 1500 meters above sea level, in the canton of “Graubünden”, which is part of the eastern Swiss mountains. The Alps (2865 meters high) offer many attractions in sports, culture and wellness, but not least fantastic skiing. Lenzerheide can be reached by public transport or by car and is about a 2-hour drive from Zurich.

In the heart of the village you will find many small shops, bakeries, cafes and restaurants.
