We always recommend dressing in layers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"60:1-60:277;2096-2372\">Start with a moisture-wicking base layer \u2014 merino wool works best \u2014 then add a light mid layer and a wind- and water-resistant outer layer. A hardshell jacket and trousers is often a great option, as it makes it easy to regulate your temperature by adding or removing a layer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"62:1-62:228;2374-2601\">One of the advantages of cat-skiing is that the same snowcat stays with the group all day. There&#8217;s usually no option to buy food or drinks along the way, so it&#8217;s important to have water and a little extra energy with you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"84:1-84:119;3290-3408\">Since the same cat is with you all day, you can store your water bottle, snacks and spare layers inside while you ski.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold\" data-sourcepos=\"86:1-86:17;3410-3426\">Water bottle<\/h3>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"88:1-88:176;3428-3603\">Always bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. The cold can mask your thirst, but your body still needs fluids \u2014 especially on long, active days in altitude.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-text-100 mt-2 -mb-1 text-base font-bold\" data-sourcepos=\"90:1-90:11;3605-3615\">Snacks<\/h3>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"92:1-92:104;3617-3720\">Many of our cat-skiing destinations are off the beaten track, and shopping options can be very limited.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" data-sourcepos=\"94:1-94:162;3722-3883\">In Popova \u0160apka, for example, there are very few places to buy snacks, and nothing available out on the mountain.
