Book nowOur surf camp in Zanzibar is perfect for anyone wanting to learn how to surf or take their skills to the next level. This incredible island off Africa’s east coast is considered one of the most beautiful watersport destinations in the world – and it’s easy to combine with a longer trip.
Each day, we load up our boat with boards and snacks, then head out to the best spots for the day’s wind and weather. Surfing in Zanzibar is great for all levels, with plenty of options to choose from and we’ll always adapt to the conditions and your experience. Lessons last between 2.5 and 3 hours and include transport, instruction or guiding, snacks, and water.
Our camp is located on the island’s east coast, right on Paje Beach – a stunning stretch of white sand and turquoise ocean. The area has a laid-back vibe, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and a lively watersports scene.

Arrival day:
- You’ll land at Zanzibar Airport, where you’ll be picked up and driven to the camp (if transfer is added)
- Upon arrival, you’ll check in and settle into your room.
- If you still have the energy you can head out for a surf session, try stand-up paddleboarding, or simply explore the local area.
Days at the Camp
- Every day starts with a delicious breakfast at the camp!
- After that, we head to the boat, loaded with surfboards, and set sail for the best spots of the day, suitable for both beginners and more advanced surfers. Each surf lesson lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours.
- Once back at the camp, the rest of the day is yours – play games with new friends, find the perfect dinner spot, or wander through town.
Departure day:
- Your last day also begins with breakfast.
- Depending on your flight time, there might even be time for one last surf session before departure.
- You’ll be driven to the airport in good time for your flight, we’ll say goodbye, and hope to see you again soon!

If you’re looking for even more adventure, you can join a spice tour and learn about Zanzibar’s history as a key hub in the spice trade. Along the way, you’ll taste and smell cinnamon, cardamom, and vanilla, all grown on the island’s many spice plantations.

Everything was perfectly planned. No problems, everything went smoothly. The hotel had a good location, good breakfast, and very friendly staff. The surfing spot was perfect for beginners, and the instructors were really good.
