Take Care of Our Planet

Climate change is real. We do really love the mountain and the water and we see it as our playground. No one knows how long we will have good snow, and the oceans are already full of micro-plastics. But we believe in a better future, and we also believe that everything we do counts. Even the smallest things as individuals will affect the bigger picture and help the planet to heal. It is not always easy to be 100% sustainable in everything you do but we can do a difference together!

If we all do something, we can make a big difference together.

Kang Poles

Kang Poles are sustainably produced ski poles made of 100% bamboo – “Ski poles made of environmentally smart materials. Built by skiers for skiers”.

“Our dream is to keep skiing deep powder tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. And even after that. That’s why we make ski poles of environmentally smart materials such as flax, bamboo, leather and bioplastic. But never at the expense of performance and always led by our Scandinavian design philosophy. Kang are made for people who love skiing, from the hard-core freerider to the conscious mountain lover.”

We share this vision and mission at DBP, which is why we strongly support Kang poles as a brand.

Sweet Protection has a goal of a “Net zero” carbon footprint throughout their value chain by 2025. This is achieved by focusing in recent years, in close collaboration with their production partners, on low-impact materials, the life cycle of the products and, not least, the efficiency of packaging and transportation of the products.

“As a company, we were born in nature, and nature is our playground. Therefore, we take our responsibility very seriously and think about this in every aspect of our product design and supply chain.”

Copenhagen Cartel

Copenhagen Cartel is a sustainable brand that focuses on the big problem with plastic in the oceans… It all started when Katrine, one of the owners, lived in Bali and could see with her own eyes how fishing nets and plastics in general help to destroy oceans and ecosystems. She therefore started designing swimwear that is made from 100% recycled nylon. It comes from the many fishing nets, the so-called ghost nets, which float around in the oceans and take everything with them on their way.

Strandet

A fantastic initiative up in the northwestern village of Vorupรธr in Danish Jutland. They want to keep the west coast free of plastic and focus on the pollution from plastic.

The company Strandet collects stranded sea plastic that has been washed up on the beach along the Danish west coast. They then give the place new value. The collected plastic is transformed into granules which are then melted down into other products. Strandet makes a big difference in our eyes and helps to draw attention to the problem of plastic, something that helps us take care of our planet…
