We stay in the charming little village of Gülbahçe, right by the beach and lagoon. The water in the lagoon is completely flat, making it ideal for both beginners and more experienced riders looking to progress or refine their freestyle tricks.

The steady wind and warm climate make this spot a true kitesurfing paradise. It’s also why some of the sport’s biggest names, like Ruben Lenten and Aaron Hadlow, have visited our camp.

In addition to the fantastic lagoon, there’s a slider park for more advanced riders and, our hidden gem with crystal-clear water.

All lessons are led by certified instructors following international standards, and we always make sure that safety is a top priority.

kitesurf camp in Turkey

Gülbahçe, located in western Turkey, has quickly become a hotspot for kitesurfing, attracting both beginners and experienced riders from all over the world. It’s just 60 km from Izmir, making it easy to reach and perfect for a combined adventure and cultural getaway.

The wind in the area is mostly thermal, which means it’s created by temperature differences between land and sea – resulting in steady and reliable wind conditions. For beginners, this means a safe and consistent learning environment, while more advanced kitesurfers can take full advantage to practice tricks and enjoy high-speed riding.

Beyond its incredible kitesurfing, Gülbahçe offers a wide range of activities, making it a great destination for active travelers. At the surf camp, you can unwind with some slacklining, test out the skateboard ramp, or play a round of table tennis.

Izmir is one of Turkey’s most fascinating cities, blending the old with the new. Here, you can wander through traditional bazaars where you’ll find handmade goods, textiles, and spices – or visit museums to dive deeper into the region’s rich history.

For culture enthusiasts, a visit to Ephesus is a must. Once a major commercial and cultural hub of the Roman Empire, it is now one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. You can walk among its ruins and marvel at sites like the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, and the Temple of Artemis – one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
