During the 80’s, Finale Ligure was well known as a climbing mecca. Today, according to Red Bull, it is in the top 5 of the world’s best mountain bike destinations and it is one of the few places in the world where the MTB season and outdoor activities take place almost all year round.

There are mountain bike trails for all levels. Both for you who want to try some of the world championships downhill and enduro, but also for you who like it a bit easier with infinitely long trails or cross country tracks, where it both goes a little bit up and down in nature, with a view that is absolutely stunning. Finale Ligure is therefore a perfect place for the whole family who either want to try mountain biking for the first time or want to be challenged in the mountains.

Finale Ligure can offer much, much more than just mountain biking and there are opportunities for new adventures every day. You can try hiking, climbing, sailing, surfing and not least snorkeling and diving in the crystal clear water. At the same time, Finale Ligure is a really lovely holiday resort, right next to the Mediterranean and with enchanting white beaches and turquoise blue sea.

Final Ligure has a fantastic landscape with slopes, cliffs and deep valleys that are popular with local leisure enthusiasts. There are many hundreds of kilometers of mountain bike routes and a myriad of active experiences for the whole family.

Finale Ligure is an old medieval town with the authentic Italian charm. There are not many tourists in the city and most are Italians.

We stay in a hotel that exudes an authentic Italian atmosphere, just a stone’s throw away from the old medieval district of Finale Borgo, where all mountain bikers meet in the afternoon for a beer and telling stories about the day’s experiences. The hotel is centrally located for mountain biking activities, guide and shuttle services.

We have made sure that you can rent mountain bikes from the brand Santa Cruz, which in our opinion is one of the best on the market. We have also made sure that you can come on guided tours, where our experienced guides Fabrizio and Fulvio take you out on tracks that suit your wishes and level.

Our guides Fabrizio and Fulvio grew up in Finale and are some of the pioneers behind the mountain biking culture in Finale Ligure. They know the mountains by heart and they have more than 15 years of experience in guiding groups (both families and the more experienced cyclists) in the area around Finale Ligure, they even have access to tracks in various private areas.

If you want to explore the area and the trails on your own, you can also easily do so. In Finale Ligure there is a shuttle service that takes you up to the beginning of the tracks, so you do not have to spend all your energy biking up in the mountains.

Transportation to and from Finale Ligure is not included in the price, but the travel there is fortunately relatively easy to find.

Flight

If you choose to fly there, there are several options. The airports we recommend flying to are those in: Nice, Genoa, Turin or Milan. From the airports you can either rent a car or book a transfer to the hotel.

Drive yourself

It is also possible to choose the car instead of going by air, and then it is also easier to bring your own mountain bikes. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby the hotel in Italy.

Day 1 – Arrival day:

You will arrive at the hotel in Finale Ligure and getting settled. If there is energy and a desire, you can take a mountain bike tour before the sun goes down.

Day 2-3:

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel, after which it is time to get out and explore the mountain bike trails. The afternoon can be enjoyed by the pool or on the beach. It is also really nice to explore Finale Borgo’s small narrow streets, which are filled with cozy cafes.

Day 4:

Remember to have a rest day when you are not cycling. It is important for the body and muscles to recover and a rest day minimizes the risk of injury. Enjoy the spa at the hotel or relax on the beach. If you are too hungry for active experiences, then it is possible to go out and surf, snorkel, dive or maybe climb in the mountains.

Day 5-6:

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel, after which it is time to get out and explore the mountain bike trails again. The afternoon can be enjoyed by the pool or on the beach.
