Chamonix | France

Travel with us and experience Chamonix on Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc – with flexible dates.

Book now

Travel to Chamonix when you feel like it and if necessary rent a mountain guide so you can experience the legendary off-piste slopes, where Vallée Blanche is the most famous of them. Vallée Blanche starts at the top of the Aiguille du Midi cable car at an altitude of 3,812 meters and continues down the glacier with a descent of 2800 meters, before ending at Montenver’s mountain railway or if there is enough snow, in the middle of Chamonix city.

Chamonix in France is known as the capital of the Alps and is one of our favorite areas in Europe.

You can leave when it suits you, as the journey is completely flexible. Book a mountain guide or choose to go downhill yourself – it’s up to you!

Chamonix is a city with approx. 9000 inhabitants. The city is located at the foot of Mont Blanc in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France. Chamonix is often called the capital of mountaineering. The first Winter Olympics were held here in 1924. Chamonix is located in the Arve Valley (French: Vallée de l’Arve).

Chamonix is located approx. 1037 m over sea level. The river Arve flows through the valley. On the southeast side of Chamonix is Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in France and Western Europe. The Chamonix area borders the Aosta Valley in Italy (through the Mont Blanc tunnel) and Martigny in Switzerland via the Col des Montets pass (1461 m above sea level).
