Freeriding | “The Hunt for the Best Snow” | Innsbruck
Join “the Hunt for the Best Snow” in either Austria, Italy or Switzerland, with our professional local mountain guide!
Book nowTravel with us to either Austria, Switzerland or Italy in the hunt for the best snow. The whole idea behind the concept is that we want to offer you the best possible off-piste conditions. We have for a long time had an idea of a trip where the destination is flexible and where we can hunt together for the best snow, weather and hopefully deep powder.
It is also a journey for all of you who do not have as many days off and want the best possible conditions.
In practice, you fly to Innsbruck Airport in Austria, from where you will be picked up by our mountain guide Michael. From there, the trip goes either to a ski area in Austria, Switzerland or Italy – the mountain guide first makes a plan a few days before arrival in his search of the best snow, weather and conditions.
We will stay at a traditional Austrian Gasthaus, it is small and not that luxurious but cozy – instead we will have the best local mountain guide and get the best freeriding.

We have the opportunity to live and ski in the following ski areas:
Innsbruck, Stubai, Solden, Ötztal, Andermatt, Arlberg, Kaunertal, Pitztal, Kitzbühl, Zillertal, Passo Tonale, Livigno, Nauders, St. Moritz, Disentis, and some lesser known areas.
The only thing we know for sure on this trip is; what dates we are going to go and that we will either stay in a guest house or a hotel with room for 2 persons per room. It will be max. 6 guests on each trip. We start to travel on a Thursday after work and go home again on Sunday night, which means 3 nights and a full 3 days of skiing with a mountain guide.
We typically stay at a traditional Austrian gasthaus, it’s small and not luxurious, but we can keep the price down. We are there for the good skiing.
We stay 2 people in each room (it is possible to book a single room for an extra charge)

Fantastic experience! The guides were skilled at finding deep snow, as promised, and at challenging the group, as well as keeping an eye on safety.
The hotel was really good and the atmosphere good. The guide Michael and his colleague Andy provided lots of great skiing and their knowledge of the mountains and the little tricks of pristine snow was formidable. (Michael called a friend who drove a snowplow and heard him where the roads needed to be cleared, when he said “if they clear a lot of snow from the road, there is twice as much snow on top”).
We had 3 great days and would definitely recommend the trip to others and put it back on yourself. It went smoothly all the way from arrival at the airport, when we were dropped off again 3 days later with red cheeks and tight legs 🙂
