How is it to surf in The Maldives compared to other places?
A surfing experience in the Maldives is unique in many ways – the islands’ geographical location and natural conditions truly make it a paradise. The islands are all surrounded by the Indian Ocean, which means they receive consistent and powerful waves that are ideal for surfing.
The Maldives is already well-known for its crystal-clear water and warm temperatures, making surfing here a delightful experience since you won’t need to put on a wetsuit or worry about cold water. This contrasts with many other surf destinations where the sea can be both very cold, and dark.
Another aspect of surfing here is the wide variety of different types of waves. Whether you are an experienced surfer or a beginner, there are waves that will suit your level. This is not the case in many other surf destinations where the waves can often be too challenging for beginners.
Additionally, the place is famous for its blend of luxury and laid-back lifestyle. When you’re not surfing, you can enjoy the beautiful beaches, the clear blue water, and the wonderful food. This makes surfing in the Maldives a holistic experience that combines sport and relaxation.

What skill level do I need for surfing on this trip?
On our surf expeditions to the Maldives, there is room for both experienced surfers and those who are newer to the waves. The most important thing for us is that you have the desire to surf and that you challenge yourself in the water. Since there are both challenging and more gentle waves, everyone can join this magical surf trip and surf at their own level. Additionally, we have rented a small extra boat so that people with different skill levels can split up and surf different types of waves.
Improve Your Surfing On Location
Please note that we do not offer surf lessons on this trip; instead, we strengthen our skills by helping each other. We believe in learning through experiences and interaction with one another, so you can expect plenty of tips, tricks, and support to enhance your surfing during this journey.
Focus on Development
We want to help you develop, and photo and video analysis is a well-known method for this. This means that we take pictures and videos of each surfer during our sessions to analyze strengths and areas for improvement afterward. Watching yourself surf is one of the most effective ways to truly understand what needs to be improved in your surfing style.

How is the experience on board the boat during the surf trip?
On board, you’ll be greeted by our dedicated staff, including a captain, surf guide, photographer, and waiter.
The boat is equipped with all modern amenities to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. There is space for a maximum of 14 guests on board, creating a close-knit and cozy atmosphere where you can learn from each other and share experiences.
During the surf trip, you will have plenty of time and opportunities to improve your surfing. As previously mentioned, we have a smaller boat that allows us to easily split the group based on skill levels.
Finally, we want to emphasize that this experience is not just about surfing, although that is a significant part of it. It’s also about relaxing, enjoying the company of others, and truly soaking in the beauty of nature that the Maldives has to offer. Whether you’re on deck watching the sunset or in the water catching waves, you can be sure that you’ll create memories that you’ll cherish for a long time.

Food on Board
One of the most remarkable aspects of the stay is the fantastic food. We have our own chef on board who will fill our days with incredible culinary experiences. We make sure you get to try local delicacies so you can have an authentic taste of the Maldives and its cuisine. Afterward, take a moment to enjoy the view from the deck; the Maldivian landscape is truly breathtaking.

Other surfing opportunities
If you’re looking for a different experience than surfing in the Maldives, check out our surf camp in Morocco. The market in Tamraght and our surf camp are located close to each other, where we offer both surf lessons and guiding.
Another place where we offer surf camps is in Peniche, where we stay near the famous beaches of Consolacao and Supertubos. There, we have over 10 surf spots within just a 10-minute walk, and every year, this is where the WSL stops for a competition.
What can you expect if you book a private charter?
There is an opportunity to go on a private charter, which gives you as guests an exclusive and tailored experience. You will have full control over your itinerary, meaning you can choose which surf spots to visit and when you want to surf.
Our private charter also allows you to enjoy an even more private atmosphere – you will have the entire boat to yourselves, enabling you to spend quality time with your friends or family. This also means that the staff on board, such as the surf guide and photographer, are dedicated to providing you with the best possible experience.
Finally, as guests, you will enjoy local cuisine prepared by our own chef. You will get to taste local ingredients and enjoy meals that are tailored to your specific preferences and dietary needs.
