Traveling alone on vacation

There are many different ways to travel, some travel together and others want to travel alone to maybe meet others. If you have not tried to travel alone before then maybe it’s time!

There are many ways to travel alone and it can be good to choose a place where you know for sure that you will meet new friends. We have many who travel alone to our surfing camps – both because it may not be appropriate with friends or family to go away at the same time, but most also do so because it is a different way of traveling. When you travel alone, you get to hang out with others and get the opportunity for completely new experiences. You will quickly feel part of the surfing family.

We have surf camps in many different places around the world, but our most popular is Morocco. Both because it is cheap to live there, but also quite easily accessible and cheap to get there by plane. Our very first surf camp is located in the small town of Tamraght, a really cozy place where you can quickly feel part of a large family.

Every day surfing lessons are arranged where we go to the beach in groups and find the best waves. All day we are on the beach and make sure to pack our lunch bag after breakfast, which we can eat down on the beach. There are plenty of breaks during the day to sunbathe if you feel like it and there are plenty of opportunities to buy fresh fruit and have Moroccan mint tea served on the beach.

After a long day we go back to the camp, where you can relax on our roof terrace, play games, take a walk in the small town or go to a yoga class.

The dinner is prepared by the locals at the camp and the buffet is culinary delicious. We sit at long tables and eat and chat about the day’s surf and there is always a good atmosphere! After dinner we look at pictures from today’s surf lesson and it’s quite fun to see yourself and at the same time get some good advice along the way.

In the evenings it often ends with music and singing on the balcony, the surf instructors and the staff at the camp are not shy about picking up their instruments and giving a small number.

Is it safe to travel?
Is it so unsafe to travel to Morocco alone? We have traveled a lot in Morocco and the locals are some of the sweetest and service-minded people we have ever met. They are very proud of their country and do their utmost to make us feel welcome. Unfortunately, bad things are happening in the world and unfortunately it can also happen in Morocco.

When you arrive at Agadir Airport, we will pick you up at the airport and drive you directly to the surf camp. That is, you are never alone and always in good hands. On the trip itself, we are always together, even if you want to go to beautiful Paradise Valley and swim that is an hour’s drive away – then we do it together. Some would like to go to the Souk in Agadir and we also arrange such a trip together.

When the surfing is over, we make sure to drive you directly to the airport, so that you are never alone and get a good farewell from us!
